With Seasonal Depression Time Approaching....

I anticipate seasonal depression the minute I see the first leaf turn color!  Fall is just not my favorite because I know what follows.  I guess I just need to learn to be in the moment!  I'd better read Tolle again!  haha  Anyway, here's an interesting article for any of you who might struggle a bit with your brain, and it's ability to make or break our day sometimes!

Such Care was Taken.....

Such a cool score this weekend in Pittsburgh!  A vintage metal breadbox filled with these--beautiful old (1950's) paint brushes.  Look how beautifully they were kept and maintained.  Someone worked hard on and with those brushes.  Makes me think about what a disposable world we really do live in.  And makes me ashamed I don't take better care of my own things for that very reason.  I highly doubt mine would last 60 years....Time for a change! 

RE-PURPOSE!

Break a shaker?  Don't throw the lone one away!  They make perfect little vases--a stem in each hole--arranges itself!  No stopper in the bottom?  Use silks!  Below is a little Mexican pottery shaker who lost su compañero....

New Favorite Thing!

Okay, this is my new favorite thing!  I love old glass juicers, but, of course, don't use them!  Check it out....put a flameless candle under one and wa la!  How pretty is that!

This is how all birdcages should be.....bird-less.  Makes me so sad to see any bird caged.  They were made to fly in the open skies, not sit behind bars.  Ugh.

Oh how I looooooove a good roadside find!  Old closet door dug out of heap of trash during Town of Chautauqua junk day!  (hubby was thrilled.....)  :/  hahahaha

I recently spoke at a nursing school to a class of future nurses.  The topic was OCD.  I call myself the Queen of the Alphabet (OCD, BDD, ADD...), yeah, I got 'em all.   Thank God I can laugh about it all!
